Birds And Business Do Not Mix

I think that we can all agree that birds are spectacular and beautiful creatures.  They come in such a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes, and each with its own unique personality.  Some have ‘attitudes’ and will flit and flutter and scare away any other birds that dare come near the feeder with them.  Some are extremely gracious and will glide to the ground or a nearby branch and wait allowing another bird to eat first.  Still others, like the Cardinal, are quite chivalrous.  The male will often scope out the feeder to be sure it is safe and then eat there once or twice before deeming it a worthy eatery for his spouse.  He will then bring her back with him and peck away at the seeds that have fallen to the ground while she perches on the feeder and timidly eats.  He is constantly watching their surroundings to be sure nothing comes near his dear ‘wife’. 

Birds are amazing creatures when they are in their own proper environment; but when they decide to nest inside your facility, or even under its eaves, they can quickly become problematic.   Birds will leave their droppings everywhere which not only introduces bacteria and dangerous pathogens into your environment, but the droppings can also pose a slip-and-fall hazard.  Bird droppings are also highly corrosive and will eat away at the paint on the outside of your building or the finish on the automobiles parked nearby.  And on top of all of that, birds often host disease carrying parasites such as lice, ticks, and fleas.  This will create a triple threat of infestation, damages, and cost.
