One reason it doesn't work is that not all rubbing alcohol is the same. There are different percentages, whereas 90% may kill some bed bugs, this has not been proven to be effective. However, the negative impact of rubbing alcohol can affect your health, damage your property, or cause a serious fire.

• Tea tree oil - Tea tree oil diluted with water in a spray is said to suffocate bed bugs, but is really only effective if sprayed directly on a bed bug. In addition, this product may also be harmful to humans or pets.
